Peace on Earth

The unquenchable flame

we refuse to forget

Shock Absorbing Panda
This illustration was created in support of the earthquake survivors in Sichuan, China.

The meaning of this artwork is twofold:
- It imagines a colossal panda—symbolic of Sichuan’s iconic wildlife—so massive that it could absorb all the shock and destruction of the quake, allowing people to live peacefully, free from harm.
- The panda also represents the rescuers, supporters, and donors from all over the world, who came together to provide comfort and peace to the victims and survivors.
Jockey Club Early Psychosis Project (賽馬會思覺健康計劃)
Rita was honored to be the guest illustrator for a comic art contest aimed at raising public awareness about early psychosis.
Picture 1: A cat begins to experience signs of early psychosis, feeling threatened and paranoid—believing others are talking about him, stalking him, or planning to harm him.
Picture 2: A friend, also a cat, comes to his aid and tears away a corner of the picture, revealing that a brighter, more hopeful world exists beyond his fears.
Picture 3: Together, the two friends now enjoy the pleasant and vibrant world, free from the threats and anxieties depicted in Picture 1.
